High Protein for Growing Dogs

Growing dogs need a regular supply of easily-digestible protein. Too many foods these days either offer a very low meat content and/or use forms of meat that can be difficult for younger dogs to digest. Not so with this recipe, which utilises lean chicken as a base. Indeed, chicken makes up 44% of all the ingredients in this blend; a rich source of protein for energetic younger dogs.

All-Natural Ingredients

This meaty food combines high quality chicken meat with a diverse range of vegetables for all-round health and vitality. The recipe includes sweet potato and kale, together with whole egg and supplemental vitamins and minerals. Unlike many other dried dog foods there are no unpleasant artificial colourings or preservatives.

Grain-Free and Hypoallergenic

The purity and quality of the ingredients that go into this recipe mean that it omits elements which commonly cause allergies in pets. Grains, for example, can lead to bloating or stomach upsets in some growing dogs. While all growing small and medium breed dogs can benefit from this food, owners of dogs with sensitive stomachs will find it particularly appealing.

Sweet Potato for Slow Release Energy

Growing dogs can be powerhouses of activity, requiring lots of exercise to keep their energy levels under control. In the absence of grains this formulation utilises sweet potato as a slow-release source of carbohydrates to keep your pet going all day long.

Healthy Skeleton Support

Puppies and junior dogs that are growing rapidly need the correct balance of vitamins and minerals if their skeletons are to form correctly. To support the healthy growth of your dog’s skeleton this special formulation includes calcium, phosphorus and vitamin D.

Rich Source of Omega 3 Fats

Omega 3s are perhaps the best-known essential fatty acids, and dog owners have given their pets cod liver oil for years to encourage a glossy coat, supple skin and to support joint health. Our special formulation includes both salmon oil and marine algae – two of the richest sources of the omega 3 fatty acids DHA and EPA known.

Introduce the diet gradually over a period of 5-7days from as early as 3 weeks of age. It is recommended to feed young dogs at least 4 times a day and at least 3 times a day from 2-4 months of age, then twice a day thereafter. Feed sufficient to maintain a steady growth, allowing weight gain to match skeletal development. Do not allow any change in diet to coincide with weaning or moving to a new owner.

The product can be fed dry or moistened with water or gravy to the consistency that your dog prefers. Typically a thorough mix of 2 parts warm water with 3 parts of dry weight dog food is preferred.

The amounts shown are only a guide and you should only feed sufficient amounts to maintain condition dependent upon the level of activity enjoyed and the conformation of your dog. Always ensure that clean, fresh water is available at all times. There is no requirement to supplement this diet with fresh meat.
