Many of us will experience mild gum disease at some point during our lives in the form of bleeding, receding gums or bad breath. However, it’s important to identify and treat gum disease early as it is known to increase your risk of heart disease, stroke and diabetes. Sensitivity is another common problem which occurs when dentine becomes exposed around the gum line. 

It’s important to establish a regular dental hygiene routine for you and your family. Children who are taught good dental habits at an early age are much more likely to continue these habits into adulthood. Brush twice a day for two minute period using a fluoride toothpaste, and have regular check ups to detect any problems early.
