What is Hemp Oil?
Derived from the seeds of the Cannabis sativa plant, our hemp oil has been cold-pressed to ensure its natural qualities are retained when being transformed into our easy-to-take soft gel capsules. Alongside an array of other phytochemicals, the oil also includes the highly sought after omega 3, 6 & 9 fatty acids. Omega 3 & 6 polyunsaturated fats are deemed essential given that our body cannot create them and therefore they must be obtained through the diet.
Despite not being essential, oleic acid (omega 9) - the monounsaturated fat found most commonly in extra virgin olive oil - has gained quite the reputation. As hemp’s fatty acid composition is unique from other seed oils it has become a firm favourite with those looking to increase their intake of healthy fats.
The Difference Between Hemp Oil and CBD Oil
Hemp Oil and Cannabidiol (CBD) Oil originate from the same plant, but neither possesses addictive or mind-altering effects. They do, however, hold significant differences. Hemp Oil is extracted from the seeds of the Cannabis sativa plant and contains a rich and beneficial fatty acid composition whilst not possessing cannabinoids. On the other hand, CBD Oil contains a full spectrum of cannabinoids such as cannabidiol and cannabidiolic acid (CBD-a).
