Ylang ylang essential oil is extracted from the flowers of the Cananga tree. The scent has been described as sweet, musky and floral. Ylang ylang has developed a central role in the perfume industry, being used in all manner of fragrances around the world. It is even sometimes known as the perfume tree. Indeed, even the botanical name of the plant hints at its incredible aroma - Cananga odorata.
Cananga odorata is native to much of Southeast Asia, growing naturally in areas such as Malaysia and Indonesia, and across to the tropical parts of Australia. The name ylang ylang is derived from the Indonesian word for "wilderness", which helps to explain how it naturally grows.
Despite the huge area over which it grows there is one part of the world that has really cornered the ylang ylang market. That area is the Comoros, off the eastern coast of Africa.
It has been estimated that over 80% of the ylang ylang produced worldwide comes from the Comoros islands. The climate here is ideal for ylang ylang production, with mild, tropical weather and very little in the way of cyclones that can plague other nearby areas.
Unsurprisingly our ylang ylang is also sourced from the Comoros. Crucially, however, our manufacturing partner is Sedex-registered. Sedex is a global organisation that ensures ethical trade and sustainable practices. You can feel confident, therefore, that our ylang ylang essential oil has been produced to the very highest standards possible.

All orders placed before 12 noon Monday to Friday will be dispatched the same day and should arrive within their allotted time period. Orders placed after 12 noon, on a weekend or over a bank holiday will be dispatched on the next working day.
Our courier is unable to deliver to PO Box addresses using our free 48-hour tracked delivery service. If you need your goods delivering to a PO Box, please select our 24-hour express delivery service when placing your order.
Please be aware that on rare occasions or during busy periods, delivery times may be slightly longer. Unfortunately, we’re unable to investigate the non-arrival of goods until after 2 working days.

If you wish to cancel or amend your order you must contact our customer care team immediately, by either calling us on 0800 988 0292 or via the online chat service on our website (open from 8 am to 6 pm Monday to Saturday). Please note that all emails are responded to within 48 hours on working days, so your request may not be actioned within enough time before your parcel has been dispatched.
Unfortunately, because we process all orders quickly to ensure fast delivery, we cannot guarantee that we’ll always be able to cancel or amend your order before it has been dispatched.
We do offer a free UK returns policy, so any unwanted, unopened items can be returned to us within 30 days of the delivery date for a no quibble refund or exchange. We recommend that you obtain proof of posting from your local post office upon returning the items.
Refunds will be processed once the returned items are received back into our warehouse. The amount we will refund is the amount paid for the products; delivery costs will not be refunded.
