As our understanding of the human microbiome develops, it becomes ever more apparent that these microorganisms affect much more than our gut. One area of interest is how the bacteria in our gut interact with our immune system and mucous membranes such as the ones which line the urinary tract.
To help support a healthy microbiome, Bio-Kult Pro-Cyan has incorporated 500 million microorganisms in each capsule. To complement this, each capsule provides a highly pure cranberry extract which is standardised to provide a minimum of 18mg of proanthocyanidins. Each serving also contains vitamin A, which is needed for healthy immune function. Vitamin A also has an important role in maintaining the mucous membranes within the urinary tract.
One problem with many probiotics is that the microorganisms get broken down by the acidic environment of the stomach. However, this is not a problem with Bio-Kult, as the capsule design ensures that the microorganisms reach the small intestine where they can flourish. Unlike many other probiotics, Bio-Kult Pro-Cyan does not need to be refrigerated.
