Records exist of Romans using sage in the first century to support good health. Now, over 2,000 years later, this Mediterranean herb is still as popular as ever. The aroma is nutty and musky, with many aromatherapy experts believing the scent is particularly long-lasting.
While there are many different plants known generically as sage, our sage essential oil is extracted from Salvia sclarea. More commonly known as clary sage, it also has a lesser-known name of “eye bright” which hints at how it was used in the past.
The clary sage used to produce our sage essential oil is grown in France. The oil is extracted using steam distillation to maintain the delicate natural properties.

Sage Essential Oil (Salvia Officinalis)
Add 1 drop per 25ml carrier oil for massage. Add 6 drops to the running water of a bath.
Caution: Do not take internally or apply undiluted on the skin. Avoid eye contact. Seek advice if you have a medical condition or are pregnant.
