What is CBD?
Cannabidiol (CBD) is the major non-psychoactive component of the Cannabis sativa plant. Unlike THC, the other main compound within cannabis which produces a ‘high’, CBD is not classed as a controlled substance by the UK government and therefore can be sold as a food supplement.
Our CBD infused hemp oil is derived from EU certified 100% natural Cannabis sativa plants. These non-GMO plants have been cultivated without the use of harmful pesticides or chemicals and contain the full spectrum of cannabinoids as well as terpenes, flavonoids and phenols. This is something that is confirmed during batch testing which is carried out by a 3rd party.
The way that the cannabinoids are extracted also has a large bearing on the quality of the product. Unlike other companies that apply solvents such as hexane or butane, our natural CBD oil has been extracted by highly advanced machinery that utilises the supercritical CO2 method. This is widely accepted to be the gold standard method of CBD extraction as it protects the natural compounds and facilitates a high yield, whilst being non-toxic and antibacterial.
