What is CBD?
Cannabidiol (CBD) is the primary cannabinoid within the Cannabis sativa plant. Unlike THC, another prominent compound within cannabis which has psychoactive properties, CBD oil is not classed as a controlled substance by the UK government and therefore can be sold as a food supplement.
The extract used in our CBD infused olive oil originates from Cannabis sativa plants which also go by the name of industrial hemp. These plants are 100% natural and non-GMO and you will be pleased to know that no harmful pesticides or chemicals have been used at any stage of the cultivation.
Our methodology ensures that our finished CBD products contain the full spectrum of cannabinoids as well as natural terpenes, flavonoids and phenols. Alongside meeting THC requirements, this is something that is confirmed during batch testing which is carried out diligently by a 3rd party.

Unlike other companies that source their CBD by applying solvents such as hexane or butane, our natural CBD oil has been extracted using the gold standard supercritical CO2 method. This has many advantages such as protecting the delicate qualities of the plant and facilitating a high yield, whilst being non-toxic and antibacterial.
The Cannabidiol is then expertly infused into a premium grade olive oil that has been cold pressed to ensure that, like the Cannabis sativa extract, retains all of its natural qualities for the benefit of our customers.

Understandably, we work in a heavily regulated industry that has strict laws, something that Simply Supplements are proud to abide by. Presently, there are no EU certified health claims for Cannabidiol or any other cannabinoids. It must be made clear that this is a food supplement and not a medicine.
